New! La Fée Absinth Bohemian
Today I'm really excited. We've just received the first shipment of our new La Fée Absinth Bohemian from Prague.
Bohemian Absinth (the 'e' is dropped in the Czech spelling) has been produced since the 1920s, shortly after the ban on absinthe was imposed in France and throughout much of the world.
It's not up on the site yet, but I'm gonna allow our newsletter subscribers to get their hands on it first before anyone else (and now you know why La Fée Absinthe became La Fée Absinthe Parisian a few months ago). It won't be on the main site for about a week, but you can order it now using this special link:
La Fée Absinthe Bohemian
La Fée Absinth Bohemian is based on the traditional absinth drink that was produced in Bohemia in the 1920s, with subtle herbal undertones of fennel, mint and rather less aniseed than Parisian absinthe. Bohemian tastes have always meant that less anise is used in the drink's production, and explains why Bohemian absinth does not turn milky (louche) when water is added.
Whereas the heavy aniseed flavour of La Fée Absinthe Parisian is often too overpowering for use in cocktails, La Fée Absinth Bohemian has a refined subtlety, whose distinctive flavour is a mixologist's dream.
Bohemian absinth is the origin of the now-infamous burning method of absinthe preparation, rather than the traditional Parisian method involving an absinthe spoon.

Daar lijkt het op -- absinth "sinds de jaren 1920" in Tsjechië geproduceerd is een standaardleugen van Radomir Hill.

Niet helemaal. De man achter Hill's in de UK is ook de man achter La Fée. Bohemian wordt gemaakt in een andere "distilleerderij", maar is een vrijwel exacte kloon van Hill's: alcoholische hoestsiroop.
